My name is Kellsey Meyer.
I grew up in Faribault, attending public school until I went to college at Concordia
University, St. Paul. After I graduated from Concordia I started teaching preschool in
Burnsville. In 2012, God led me to Faribault Lutheran School where I have
remained. I live in Faribault with my husband Charles, daughter Hayden and dog
Mowgli.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school. My favorite
moments in the classroom are when I can be silly with my students and show them
that learning can be fun. Working at FLS not only fulfills my goal of being a teacher,
but it also includes making so many friendships as the atmosphere makes everyone
feel like family. I like to encourage students by using the serenity prayer in my
classroom daily.
My favorite Bible verse for my personal life is Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and
courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord you God is with you
wherever you go.”
