Diane Tiede 8th Grade dtiede@flsweb.org

My name is Diane Tiede.

I am the 8th grade teacher.

I am so excited to begin teaching at FLS! I previously taught in Le Center for 15 years. While there, I taught grades 5-8, and coached junior high volleyball, basketball, and softball. I took the last year off from teaching, and am thrilled that God has drawn me to FLS this year.

My husband and I live on a farm near LeCenter. We have 5 children – one son and four daughters. Our youngest daughter will be a junior this year at Tri-City United. We also have a daughter who will be finishing her last year of college at River Falls. Our other three children are all living on their own – two in MN and one in Iowa.

I am especially excited to teach at a school where I am able to share my faith with my students, and to watch them share their faith with me and those around them!

Erin Banks Kindergarten Teacher ebanks@flsweb.org

My name is Erin Banks.
I have been drawn to Kindergarten ever since I set my heart on teaching, and I am so
very blessed that God has called me to teach at FLS. The curiosity and eagerness
that young children exhibit for learning about the world around them and about
God’s love never ceases to amaze me. It is so fun to share in this excitement every
day while building strong foundations and a love of learning for years to come.
I completed my education at Concordia University in St. Paul where I graduated
summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am licensed
to teach grades K-6. My husband and I live in Wanamingo, Minnesota. We have two
daughters and a son. In my spare time, I love skiing and doing anything creative and
crafty, especially puzzles!
My favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:16, “And so we know and rely on the love God has
for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

Bailey Gare 2nd Grade Teacher bgare@flsweb.org

My name is Bailey Gare and this is my second year at Faribault Lutheran School and I teach Kindergarten.

I am so excited to get to know my students!  I can’t wait to learn about all of the different and wonderful gifts God has given to each of them.

My favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Jennifer Jarocki 1st Grade Teacher jjarocki@flsweb.org

My name is Jennifer Jarocki.
I love teaching first grade! The excitement and love for school this age group brings
into the classroom is amazing. Every day I am blessed to be able to share God’s love
and God’s Word with each and every one of my students. I love teaching reading to
my first graders. They are so excited to start this new journey of reading books, and
I love that I get to take the journey with them! I love seeing the progress as we go
through the school year. It is such an amazing experience with each student.
My favorite experience in first grade is having 8 th grade partners come into our
classroom. They create art projects with the first graders and read with them every
week. This time together builds bonds of respect and community for our entire
school. The kids look forward to this time every week! When I am not at school, I
love spending time with my kids and watching all the things they love to do. I am a
sports fan and try to take in games whenever possible. My favorite place to be is at
the lake cabin in the summer with a good book.
My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:5, “God is with her, she will not fall.” It is a
constant reminder to me that whatever I am doing, big or small, God is with me. It is
reassuring to know my path in life is led by God.
