This year’s school theme is based on Matthew 28:18-20.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Students will learn more throughout the year about what it means to be a disciple for Christ in their homes, at school, in their communities and more. We encourage our parents and guardians to talk with their student(s) about being a disciple for life and what that looks like in your home and life while the focus at school on this theme.
While students study this verse all year long, FLS hosts a special focus on it during National Lutheran Schools Week, January 22-28th, 2023. Stay tuned for more information as NLSW approaches later this year.
